Two year-old Sophie Atay was on ITV news today. She’s waiting for treatment for a high risk neuroblastoma and her parents have launched an appeal to help fund it.
Find out all about the Sophie Appeal, which is raising money for Sophie’s treatment through the 2Simple Trust, and make a donation on JustGiving now.

I would love to keep updated of Sophie’s progress. I hope and pray that you get enough money to take her to America for her treatment.
My thoughts and prayers go to you all.

I pray that you will get the money needed to help Sophie, and that the treatment works for her, I watched my parents and my husband die of cancer that was bad enough but to see such a young life suffering is heartbreaking. I know of two children who are family friends very poorly at the moment one having chemo and the other in intensive care and you just feel so sorry and sad thet you can not do anything to take away their pain.I nearly lost one of my own children 20years ago to meningitis thank God she came through it and when any of my granchildren have been suddenly rushed into hospital for any reason (appendix or bowl problem and only last week the 5 year old ruhed in with suspected meningitis) it ended up that blood was leaking from his vessels into his kidneys and intestine he is fine now. Please keep strong and remember it’s people like you and Sophie that put the great in Britian the nation is with you. Take care and God Bless. XX

I really hope with all my heart you raise all the money you need for Sophie, My Grandma has justed passed away from cancer and I hated to see her suffer as much as I hate to see you suffer she was 86 though there is such a difference with elderly people’s pain compared to young pain.
All my thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time and I hope you will recover soon from the hopeful treatment in New York!
It is young children like Sophie who really matter so please help for Sophie’s sake - Thankyou
Love from Maddy x

Once in a while things happen that give you hope for humanity and decency. We’re bombarded by bad and negative news constantly, then a little angel touches our hearts and brings out the best in us. Everyone who has helped support this magnificent cause and/or raised funds, should be extremely proud.
Let’s just hope and pray that the medical team can do their bit and Sophie stays strong and makes a full recovery. God bless her and all the generous souls who have demonstrated the true meaning of charity despite the difficult times we are in.

I don’t think I could sum it up any better than Damien’s comments above. It does make one feel proud, there are some good souls out there.
Cancer is a terrible thing. Unfortunately so is the treatment. It’s hard to believe at times that it is doing any good. The thought of a toddler experiencing the side effects from radio and chemotherapy is heartbreaking.
As the carer, the feeling of helplessness is awful. But we were given the opportunity to help here.
I truly wish you all the very best Sophie. Your bravery is astonishing.
