Are your supporters credit crunched?

News just in…  Despite the doom and gloom in the newspapers, most people have not cut the amount they give to charity because of the credit crunch.

We’ve collected the opinions of a whopping 17,927 people making donations on JustGiving over the last year, and 41% told us they give the same amount as they did before the recession, and a generous 15% say they’ve actually increased the amount they give.

Your loyal supporters are more likely to cut back on spending money on eating out (an average of 73% are thinking of spending less) and holidays (54%) than lowering the amount they give to charity (34.5%).

Have a look at the nitty gritty of our 15-page credit crunch report here.

Do our findings hold true with what your charity has experienced? Have you taken a hit because of the recession? Let us know how it has affected you by leaving a comment below.
