We’re really excited to be supporting partners for the next GiveCampUK, where tech-minded folk come together and volunteer their time for one weekend and come up with some pretty cool stuff for charities. What is GiveCamp UK?
GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where technology professionals including designers, developers and database administrators join forces with technology marketers and web strategists to donate their time to providing solutions for non-profit and charity organisations. The three day event takes place 21st and 24rd October in London, and is a chance for developers in particular to help make a difference to the sector.

What will JustGiving’s role be?
Not only will we be providing moral support over the three day event, but many of our development team will be getting stuck into any number of the shortlisted projects as well as being on hand to offer technical support and guidance. To fuel and energise this creative community, other members of the JustGiving team will be on hand to offer industry, marketing and moral support in droves. We look forward to a truly inspiring few days.
In addition, our APIs will be available for developing against should the project need arise. Because the API opens up our fundraising platform to charities, fundraisers, developers and agencies alike, we look forward to supporting the efforts of people who truly want to help make a difference over the course of what should be three exciting, if exhausting, days.
As a charity how can I get involved?
We are inviting charities with ideas to sign up and submit their applications to the GiveCamp team. Is there a technical need that your charity has that currently goes unmet? Some suggestions for projects might be:
• Establishing a web presence through a simple website
• Updating your charity’s existing website
• Developing a calendar application to show your charity’s upcoming events
• Creating a database to allow you to keep in contact with your donors
