Last month, we launched our JustTextGiving video competition asking you to send us a video of innovative and fun ways to fundraise with your JustTextGiving code. The video with the most views by Tuesday 23rd August gets a whopping £500 donation to their page! Plus, two runners up, who will be picked by a panel of judges, will each get a £200 donation. There is still time to enter, so here’s some inspiration for you!
We hope you’ve enjoyed watching the video entries so far, and today we have another great one to show you! Jari asked the random and hilarious people on Fiverr.com from around the world to snap a photo of themselves with his text code. The results involved ninjas, parakeets, spaghetti, skyscrapers, a piece of toast and other oddities – this one really made us laugh!

I am Jari Huomo, a 27 year old entrepreneur from Finland. I work from home doing software development, web business and other funny stuff, like creating videos for fundraising competitions :) Check out the photo I took of my summer office – what do you think?
As you can assume, training a bird for this video took a lot of time… It required multiple hours of filming and editing… No, I am just kidding! The bird’s name is Pickles and it can be hired for $5. I actually got my inspiration to do the video from Fiverr.com and other similar services, where people will do something fun or crazy for $5 or less!
I then did some editing with iMovie, which took maybe 10 minutes. Now I still need to find some great ways to share this video so that my $5 was not totally wasted.
There is still time make your own video – JustTextGiving is a great help in fundraising money and hopefully the JustGiving team will still get many more great videos for this competition! My personal favorite so far is the Mushroom Theatre & Equal People video – very nice editing!
