Find a cycling challenge near you

Looking for a cycling event? We have been searching up and down the UK to bring you the best of them.

There are plenty of fun events to choose from too, whether you’re looking for a peaceful coastal cycle or an adrenaline infused mountain bike challenge.

Prison Cycle Dash – Saturday 28th July

Organised by the City of Exeter YMCA, this 70 mile cycle circulates all three prisons in Devon, going through Dartmoor and alongside the Devonshire coast.

Cycle the Solway – Sunday 5th August

Raising money for the Eden Valley Hospice, the cycle begins at Carlisle and takes you through a picturesque and unique corner of Cumbria. You can choose from a 25Km, 50Km or 100Km route.

Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge – Thursday 9th – Sunday 12th August

Raising money for The Blue Cross Animal Welfare Charity, you’ll be cycling from the Irish Sea to the North Sea. The 136 mile route will take you through the Lake District and the Northern Pennines.

Great North Bike Ride – Sunday 26th August

A 60 mile ride in aid of The Chris Lucas Trust, you’ll begin at Seahouses, cycle along the North Northumberland coastline, and end  up at Tynemouth priory and Castle.

Loch to Loch Bike Ride – Saturday 1st September

Organised by Asthma UK, the cycle will take you from Lock Lomund to Loch Leven over two days, taking in Scotland’s beautiful countryside.

London to Windsor  - Sunday 2nd September

Cycling from London to Windsor in support of Guide Dogs, you can choose between a 37 mile on-road route and a 29 mile route along the Thames towpath.

Shakespeare 100 – Sunday 9th September

You can choose between a 100 mile or 100Km route, both of which follow a loop around Stratford-upon-Avon. The event is organised by a team of volunteers for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Manchester to Blackpool Night Ride – Saturday 29th – Sunday 30th September

The night-time cycle organised by the British Heart Foundation will begin at 11pm at Manchester’s Trafford Centre. Making your way towards the coast, you’ll arrive at Blackpool Tower for sunrise.

Edinburgh 2 Dublin Cycle Ride

From the home of the thistle to the land of the shamrock, you’ll cycle 220 miles in three days, raising money for The Children’s Adventures Farm Trust.

Mountain Bike Challenge – Sunday 7th October

Organised by The British Red Cross Society, this 23 mile challenge is a technical route that is often used for major championships. Taking place in the Dalby Forest, the route has been specifically designed by the Forestry Commission to ensure the optimum mountain bike experience.

It’s a 100km route taking in some of the iconic landmarks in Bristol, and passing through pretty villages on the outskirts of the city.
