We had so many amazing people to choose from when it came to a fundraiser of the month for May.
Did you see http://www.justgiving.com/mysterytraingirl? After regretting not speaking to a gorgeous girl on a train from Cardiff to Bristol, Keir Moffatt set up an incredibly popular Facebook group to try and find her. He hasn’t found her yet, but he has leveraged the popularity of the group to raise more than £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
How about 12-year-old Michael Turner, who sets off today on a seven day, 115 mile walk for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and has already raised over £20,000!
However, for sheer style we had to give it to Johnny “Sticky” Budden, who’s not just running a marathon, not just running an ultramarathon, but running 1000 miles from John O’Groats to Paris, using parkour to overcome any obstacle in his way and raising a lot of money for charity in the process.
Sticky has a great website where you can read his blog about the journey, which began on the 17th of April and won’t end until the 6th of June. Take a look here:

The site also includes links to his Twitter, YouTube and Facebook streams, maps of his current location, and his JustGiving page of course, adding lots of extra value for his many supporters. So far Sticky has raised £9,430 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, which we’ll be adding a £50 donation to shortly…
In honour of Sticky’s physical and kinaesthetic achievement, over on JustGivingTV we’ve put together a bluffer’s guide to parkour featuring Sticky himself. Take a look below:
