Last year you may have noticed we gave our fundraising pages a new look and some snazzy new features. These included a newly-designed page header, more ways to share your page on social networks and a clearer way for you to showcase your images.
These changes are more than just a facelift. The research we carried out before adding the new features suggested they would help you raise more money with your page, and we’re delighted to report that’s exactly what’s happening – the new pages are encouraging people to donate more than ever before. (Here’s a reminder of what’s changed.)
And we’ve not stopped there. Since we unveiled the new look, we’ve added a few more features we think will help you raise even more for your chosen charity.
These handy new additions to your fundraising page will allow you to:
Add a quick summary of what you’re doing
You can now add a short summary on the top of your page describing what you’re doing, why you’re fundraising and who you’re fundraising for. Adding a fundraising summary to your page will help grab your supporters’ attention and tell your story better.
Here’s an explanation of how to add a summary.
Post fundraising updates on your page
Now you can write updates on your page to tell friends and family how you’re doing. If you have a webcam, you can also add short videos to keep your supporters updated.
Here’s how to add an update to your page.
Connect your page to your company’s profile
Last year we launched Company Fundraising which allows you to link your fundraising page to your company’s profile. By joining in with your company’s fundraising community, you can reach more of your colleagues and give them an opportunity to donate.
Now you can search for your company straight from your account, so it’s even easier to reach your colleagues with your fundraising.
This is how to connect your company to your page.
