A lot of us will know someone that is affected by Parkinson’s – the progressive neurological condition that affects around 127,000 people in the UK. Next Monday marks the beginning of Parkinson’s Awareness Week. Between the 16th and 22nd April, events will be going on up and down the country, raising both money and awareness.
How can I get involved?
With everything from tea parties to jazz nights and magic shows, there’s plenty going on and Parkinson’s UK has all the details you need to get involved.
Whether it’s a coffee morning, a bake sale or a sponsored walk, add it to the Parkinson’s UK website and let people in your local community know.
Whatever you’d like to do to raise money, you can set up a fundraising page for Parkinson’s UK. Once your page is set up, spread the word on Facebook and get your JustTextGiving code so that people can donate.
Parkinson’s UK relies on generosity of people like you to help them continue with their vital research into the condition and the necessary support they offer. Show your support by making a one-off donation or setting up a monthly donation to Parkinson’s UK.
