Awards season is fast approaching and JustGiving is starting to feel the buzz. No, it’s not the Golden Globes or the Oscars that’s got us all lit up. We’re counting down to the awards ceremony that outshines them all, the annual JustGiving Awards.
Yep, the JustGiving Awards 2011 are nearly upon us and needless to say, we’re pretty excited. And with good reason – it’s a night where we celebrate the incredible achievements of the JustGiving community and roll out the red (or maybe blue!) carpet for the amazing individuals, teams and charities that have helped in raising over £175m (and counting) for charity this year.
Last year’s event was a truly special occasion and we were genuinely blown away by the people we met and the stories we heard. There was a massive feeling of pride at seeing the extraordinary things people had achieved using JustGiving and that’s why we can’t wait to do it all again, only this year it is set to be bigger and better!
With twice the categories of last year, we’ll be celebrating even more of our community, and right now, it’s eyes on the prize as we need your nominations.
Have you or someone you know done something truly extraordinary for charity? Or do you have tales of some particularly creative fundraising? Perhaps you hold a particular charity close to your heart and you want to see their amazing work rewarded? Well, we want to hear from you. This year we will be celebrating achievements in ten categories, eight of which we need your help with the shortlist. Check out our full list of categories and get nominating! Whoever is shortlisted will be invited to join us on what promises to be a fantastic night at the Emirates Stadium on February the 10th.
The closing date for entries is the 17th of December. We’ll be deliberating over the entries to bring you the shortlist on the 20th of January. Over the following 3 weeks, our panel of fundraising, philanthropic and digital stars will decide the winners.
We’ll reveal more details of the big night itself soon, but right now, it’s all about getting those nominations in. We can’t wait to hear the stories of who you think should walk away with a JustGiving Award come February.
