Since we released JustGiving teams back in February it’s been really fun to track the innovative, touching and sometimes just wacky ways people have grouping together to raise money for causes they care about. We’ve just had a quick peek in the database and here are a few highlights:

The average team on JustGiving raises 33% more than the average fundraising page, which goes to show that there is indeed strength in numbers. Oh, and there are now around 4000 individual teams on JustGiving.
Teams come in all shapes and sizes
Most teams are made up of 5 people or less, but there are some really sizeable teams out there. Here are the top 5:
Teams are great for business
Many teams in our database are corporate teams – at least 12% of them, if not more. We took a look at the most popular industries using JustGiving teams, and discovered that our frontrunner is banking and financial services (see the JP Morgan team as a good example). However, there are teams in almost every industry – from the military, to publishing, retail and advertising. Here’s a look at how the industries break down:
