Last month, we launched our JustTextGiving video competition asking you to send us a video of innovative and fun ways to fundraise with your JustTextGiving code. The video with the most views by Tuesday 23rd August gets a whopping £500 donation to their page! Plus, two runners up (who will be decided by a panel of judges) will each get a £200 donation.
Looking at the entries so far, the judges are in for a tough decision – you’ve made us laugh, inspired us and above all, got us very excited about how you’re promoting your JustTextGiving codes to raise money for the causes you care about.

We caught up with Daniel Jordan – the keen fundraiser behind the first video we received. Daniel kept it nice and simple and told us just how using sites like Guessability (and offering kisses!) is helping him raise funds for Hope and Homes for Children.

My name is Daniel Jordan and I am a Managing Director in a small software company. I am also a keen amateur runner.
I am supporting Hope and Homes for Children by asking for sponsorship as I run the Abingdon Marathon in October. I have already asked many of my friends and family to support me, and they have done so before, so this time I’ve tried to make it a bit more interesting by offering a notional prize to whoever can predict what my finishing time will be.
Using guessability.com I have setup an appeal and sent this to my friends via Facebook and Twitter. They make a guess of when I will finish and donate directly to the charity using JustTextGiving. This also gets logged in my JustGiving page.
The video only took me a couple of minutes to do as I wanted to get it out quickly to give me a chance of winning the £500 prize for the charity! I have promoted it via my social network.
I am really looking forward to the marathon and hope that using the combination of Guessability, JustTextGiving and JustGiving will raise more sponsorship for my charity. The system is simple to use, and free, so why not give it a go?
