Last-Minute Tips for Marathon Fundraisers

If you are running the marathon in London on Sunday and have not had a chance to fundraise, don’t stress! We have some very quick and simple steps to get you well on your way to smashing your fundraising target. In just  days.

Step 1. Copy your page address and craft a quick message. Something like: “I’m running on Sunday for {insert charity name} and would love your support. A pound a mile. Or even just a fiver for the whole race. ”

Step 2. Email that (bulk is fine) to all of your email contacts.

Step 3. Message that to your Facebook friends and Twitter followers.

Step 4. Tell your family, friends and work colleagues your JustGiving page address and why you’re running!

You can also remind everyone that they can sponsor you after the event: we found that 20% of marathon donations come in after the event.

So fear not, fundraiser!  Get into action, get that page out there and you are WELL on your way.

We’re cheering for you here this week. And we’ll be cheering you on like mad from the sidelines on Marathon day.

And finally, check out this special cheer video from our eminent fundraiser Simon Painter – we love it!
