We love fundraising. We also love Facebook. So we’ve put them together to make a new Facebook application that will help JustGiving fundraisers raise even more. What’s not to like?
This is the first time in the UK that people wanting to sponsor their friends will be able to do so without leaving Facebook so we’re sure it will enable people using JustGiving to raise even more than before.
If you’re fundraising on JustGiving, this is what the app does:
- It allows you to share your JustGiving page on Facebook.
- It means your friends can sponsor you without leaving Facebook.
- It makes it easy for your friends to tell their friends about your fundraising.
- It allows you and your friends to start conversations about your fundraising by leaving comments on your page which also appear in their friends’ newsfeeds.
Start using the app now at http://apps.facebook.com/jgdonation
All you need to do is put in your JustGiving page url (that’s the bit after the justgiving.com/ for your fundraising page) and share with your friends. Simple!
Watch this space…
This is just one of the great new ways we’re helping you raise money with Facebook. Last month, we introduced the ability to log in and create an account on JustGiving using your Facebook details, meaning one less password to remember!
And in the next few weeks and months, we’ll be releasing even more new features that will put the social into fundraising – like a new version of this app which will allow you to donate to your favourite charity without leaving Facebook.
If you want even more advice on using Facebook to fundraise, our app isn’t the only way to go – check out our top tips on using Facebook to fundraise. And to keep up to date with our latest Facebook updates, and hear tips from other fundraisers, join the community on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/justgiving.
