We are excited to announce the official launch of JustGiving Teams! We say “official launch”, but it seems over 450 of you have already found the new feature in your user accounts and started using it in imaginative and inspiring ways…
If you’d like to set up your own team page, click here, log in to your account and get started. If you need a little helping hand, check out our FAQ on setting up a team page first.
What is it?
Fundraisers can now create teams made up of individual JustGiving fundraising pages.
Each team gets a dedicated page where they can tell their collective story and set a collective fundraising target. The leader board shows who’s on the team and how much they’ve raised towards the team target, allowing for some competitive fundraising!
Benefits for Fundraisers
Working together to raise more – you can get together with friends, family, colleagues or other groups, and share a larger fundraising target.
Spread the word together and get more donations per page – individual pages are only seen by whomever you reach out to personally, but joining a team means your fundraising page will be seen by your teammates’ sponsors and may result in more donations than you would have had alone.
Turn fundraising into a competition or challenge – you have the ability to sort the display of team members by amount raised, so you can view a sort of leader board, which adds an element of competition – will you raise more than your team mates?
You can raise funds for more than one charity on one page – some of you have asked us about this, and we have listened! All you need to do is join a Team with a number of fundraising pages (each one for a different charity). There is no limit to how many teams you can join, and how many pages you can add to one team. See the FAQ for more details.
Show the personality of your team – you can add a team photo, a team logo and a story about what has brought you together to raise money. And you can edit your page at any time.
Ideas for Fundraisers
Sports Fans
Being a sports fan is about much more than the game on the pitch. It’s about team solidarity. Now there’s a new way of competing on another level. Why not set up a Team page for your football club, your cricket team, even your racing crew, and gather all of the true fans to fundraise for the Team’s official charity (or choose your own!) It’s like being president of the fan club!
School Class
Teachers or students looking for a fun class project? Try taking on a challenge together and show the rest of the school what you’re made of – have lots of fun and raise astounding amounts for a good cause, together!
Corporate Fun(draising)
Whether you are pitching Accounting against Marketing, or the London versus the Leeds store, Teams is the ideal way of keeping track of who is the most efficient and energetic fundraising team in the business (and of course how philanthropic the company is!)
