It’s Valentine’s Day this weekend and without wanting to get too schmaltzy, we thought it would be a good opportunity to remind those of you getting married this year (or even planning to propose on Sunday night) that one of the ways you can fundraise on JustGiving is by asking your wedding guests to make a donation to your favourite charity instead of buying you a present.
That’s what Emily and Neil (pictured) did and they’ve already raised over £2,000 for WaterAid…

Congratulations to Dione Priddy, whose incredibly moving story and JustGiving page are featured on the BBC News homepage today, which has helped her beat her original target more than twice over and the donations keep coming in. Since the feature went live at 9:10 AM this morning Dione’s page has received 214 donations and, at the time of writing, her total stands at £4,625.
Dione is running the London Marathon for the Alzheimer’s Research Trust four years after her husband Mark was diagnosed with early onset dementia at the age of just 36. At the time, Dione and Mark resolved to enjoy the time they had left. They renewed their wedding vows, took a holiday and tried to make everything as normal as possible for their two young daughters…

Last night we made some updates to JustGiving’s payment processes. Unfortunately this has resulted in the site temporarily being unable to accept donations. This problem started at midnight last night (00:00 AM, Wednesday 10th February) and our engineers have been working overnight to resolve the issue.
In the meantime you can use the “remind me to donate later” button on the left hand side of each fundraising page to remind you to donate again later.
We’ll let you know as soon as the site’s back up and running.

Wow! Where to start with the JustGiving Awards? The was the first event of this type we’ve done and I think it’s fair to say we were all a bit nervous going in, but couldn’t have been happier coming out. It was such a pleasure to meet so many of you and we were literally overwhelmed by the feedback that you had for us both during and after the event, and the surprising and exciting connections some of you made on the night. A big thank you to everyone who came, Major Phil Packer for providing what turned out to be just one of many inspirational speeches throughout the evening and the staff at RIBA for taking care of us so well. But for now, all that remains is to announce the winners…
