How to write an award-winning nomination

If someone’s raised money for your charity using JustGiving in the past 18 months, amplify their story even further and nominate them for a JustGiving Award! Here are our top tips to getting them noticed.

Share their story

The key to a good nomination is the fundraiser’s inspiring story. When nominating someone, answer these questions as part of your submission:

• What inspired them to start fundraising?
• What makes their story stand out from the crowd?
• Do they have a personal connection to the cause?
• What does your charity’s mission mean to them?

Emphasise impact

Talk about the impact the fundraiser made, in terms of…

• The people they helped
• Their story
• The people they inspired
• The money they raised
• The difference they made for your cause

Link us to their page

Don’t forget to include a link to the fundraiser’s JustGiving page (or pages, if they’ve got multiple)! We’ll check it out it to learn more about them and the impact they’ve made.

PRO TIP: How to find your top fundraisers. If you’re not sure who to nominate, you can search up your top fundraisers in your JustGiving Reports (requires JustGiving’s Grow Plan). See who raised the most money for you.
